Fire protection services are provided through Lamont County Regional Fire Services. The Volunteer Fire Department provides excellent fire protection and emergency response to the residents in Lamont and surrounding area.
Fire Bans/Restrictions
FIRE ADVISORY FOR THE TOWN OF LAMONT - Effective JUNE 23 (12:00 P.M.)
Due to the current weather conditions, the Town of Lamont is moving away from a Fire Restriction, EFFECTIVE June 23 at NOON.
A fire advisory is a warning when fire conditions are still at an elevated risk. There are no formal restrictions in place with a fire advisory. If conditions do not improve this advisory can be upgraded to a Fire Restriction or a Fire Ban with little notice.
Permitted:
Safe wood campfires in approved fire pits (on private lands and in campgrounds).
Portable propane fire pits.
Gas or propane stoves and barbecues.
Charcoal and pellet barbeques/electric smokers.
